I don't know who all will be able to see this with DW causing problems and I feel bad for dropping this so close to the holidays as well as the impersonal way I'm just dropping this here but I have no idea when I'll be able to tell everyone and I figure the sooner the better.

I have holes in my heart, something I've lived with my whole life. Recently though, I found out it was more than just "it just makes me tired sometimes"... It's actually "high-risk of heart failure". Given my age and the fact that I've had a lot of regular stress in my life, my heart is at risk for deciding it's worked extra-hard for thirty years, time to retire.

What I'm doing about it:
Resting. A lot. And I have noticed a difference (not so exhausted all the time for one). It can be really annoying to be in the middle of something, feel my heart rate be up and have to drop what I'm doing. However, I am trying to see it as a "blessing in disguise", for lack of a better phrase... I suddenly have the time to do a lot of things I've wanted to, like reading and drawing and doing things for myself.

As for the lumps I mentioned in an earlier post, I have Fibrocystic Breasts. I was relieved to finally have a name for it. Even more so relieved to find they usually don't become cancer... But tell that to any doctor who knows my medical history and they make it sound like I have ticking time bombs in there.

Reading this post I realize it sounds like I'm engraving my tombstone, but I'm still living my life. I'm still doing things I like to do. I'm still looking forward to the future and that includes being an active member of LTSH.

... Though I probably shouldn't get a puppy. If something does happen to me I don't want it to end up someone else's responsibility or worse, ownerless in an animal shelter.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Will you post your art so we can see it?

Pity about the puppy, but maybe someday you'll have another person in your life that will want one together with you? - Or maybe you could get something that would be less trouble to the somebody else? (You know, something that lives in a cage and doesn't need daily walks.)
