Ricky just reminded me of a play I saw last year. The play's called "Der Brandner Kaspar und das ewig' Leben" (Kaspar Brandner and the eternal life). Death, by his Bavarian name 'Boandlkramer' (someone trading in bones), visits Kaspar Brandner, telling him it's time to die. Kaspar offers him 'Kerschgeist' (Kirschgeist for Non-bavarians) and convinces him to play a game of cards. If Kaspar looses, he'll go with Death, if Death looses, he can't come and get Kaspar until Kaspar says he's ready. Kaspar makes Death drunk and cheats in the game.
