Monthly Challenge: Childhood
Lately I have been reconnecting with my past. Seeing things I've not looked at since I was little feels strange in some way, like a time machine plucked from the past. But in many other ways, it brings back good memories and good times.
This month's challenge is Childhood.
It can be an item from the past, a childhood memory, or perhaps about a character's inner child. Maybe they never went to a carnival, had a favorite toy. Did they ever really grow up? Were they an adult too soon? What brings them back to their past? Do they enjoy things that others would call "childish"? What would it be like to return to where they grew up?

Good Parenting
"It says it is unhappy."
"How is that relevant? I asked you how it is performing."
"It says it wants spare time. I believe it means for recreation."
"Recreation? Why that lazy little brat! It is only six years old and wants recreation!"
"It says you get to watch TV and read when you get home. It must study and practise."
"But that's what children exist for! Insolent brat. I earned the right to recreation. It has never earned anything in its life. Now will you finally tell me how it is performing. Does it meet the requirements for its age?"
"It is ... adequate. Mostly average, though."
"Average. And it wants recreation! Make sure that it understands that it has to work harder and that its laziness is despicable."
