Dreamstone plot - daniel's post

Hey all,

Just to say that as discussed with norseloki Daniel is making a return to the manor now he can access the dreaming to look for Primoris and finish things. Essentially it means that if nothing else has progressed he can godstrike the plot into submission.

I've set him up as arriving shortly before dawn because I reckon that for dramatic purposes the nightmare being banished by Dawn's first beams of light is dramatically cool. Ok, not actually by but you know, metaphors and symbolism and stuff. Especially since 1st may is I believe the beginning of the pagan year when the earth is reborn, etc.

My two thoughts on how this can link with Trilby's banishing is either Trilby does it when Daniel is fighting Primoris and banishes him while the two are distracted or daniel comes in on Trilby trying to do the banishing and gives him an oomph (soul?).

Mainly though this post isn't meant to stop stuff from happening earlier in the night but a good bit of parallellism is probably needed to hit the deadline.

Right now I'm doing a super thread that will get Trilby up to speed on things. If I don't fall unconscious early (which is semi-likely) it'll be done tonight, or at least open for other dreamers to wander downstairs to investigate the commotion.

Dawn is awesome. I didn't know about the pagan year thing, I picked it because it's a new moon that day.

If I can't get the body/mind/soul trinity with other characters (in a pinch, I can use Baraq as body because he's so messed up from his nightmare, and any angel as soul) (although a quick look at the current dream threads shows all the angels look like they've been thrown in a blender) (heh), option two works for me.

*nod* If you can get three people from the banishing we can have them doing that, Primoris clinging on for dear life to stop him getting banished and daniel can come along and go "No, my dreaming. Let go." and watch as Primoris disappears into the elsewhere...

And in case you want to use it the pond mentioned in my post with a distant blackness at the bottom is the one that primoris first came through when leaving the void. I can't see the original post though, might have been nuked when we lost the original character that bought the stone... But just in case you wanted to tie it in. Or if nothign else so more people get the reference. ;-)

One of the messy LJ updates killed the tags on the old posts, and I didn't set up new ones for the characters we'd lost, since it was already quite a bit of work. Though if someone feels like doing it, they're welcome to!

I'd just like to point out that Gabriel was going to come and get Daniel. He was about to leave, actually, and tonight I was going to write his coming to the Dreaming. Does that still need to happen, then?

that can happen or not as you see fit. I deliberately didn't say where daniels information came from to leave possibilities of having the "daniel gets told" thread. I should say that I don't think I'll have time for a very long thread. On the other hand daniel probably won't want to stop for much of a chat once he finds out the key details anyway. :-)

blehhehhhah finally posted the main "EUREKA!" sequence in the super thread. I'm not doing a primarily-self-thread again if I can handle it, even if it streamlined the action and running and stuff.

(I'm rationalizing that the ballroom was a temporary safe zone because it was an abandoned setting. It was the site for Ishtar's nightmare, and since she's gone...)

Still not certain how to get Primoris to the pond... I wish I'd thought of it before, but it would have been great to have the three people in the spell have some object related to/symbolizing their fears. Either that, or it symbolizes how they overcome said fear.

Right now, either Trilby can go upstairs to shanghai someone into helping with the spell, or someone can go downstairs. I've made sure that thread generated a lot of suspicious noises for someone to check out, it's open to the public now anyway.
